Lemon Velvet Cake

Summer is finishing and we must be prepared to meet fall.
When I have some free time, I always surf the net, looking for news, some useful advice, reading books and blogs, watching interesting videos and, of course, I search for new interesting recipes to have an opportunity to share them with you.

I noticed one thing – the subject of each article into the woman journals is fall. Everybody tells you about it. Fashion bloggers suggest a lot of information about stylish outwears, rubrics of health remind us to be vigilant because of the likely diseases and bad mood. I always noticed that recipes were changed. The main ingredient of each dish are not berries, there are fruits and chocolate, of course.

I decided to prepare this Lemon Velvet Cake, because of the Lemon. It is not summer fruit and this recipe will be suitable for this fall trend, but it is so bright ingredient and it can recall me the sun. Anyway, it is also very yummy fruit and has so special sour taste. If you prepared the cake with lemon, you’d know what I meant.

To prepare this dessert all you need are all-purpose flour, cake flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, sugar, vegetable oil, vegetable shortening, vanilla and lemon extract, eggs, buttermilk, zest of lemons. And for the frosting, you also must have icing sugar, the same lemon extract, and lemon zest and, finally, milk. All of these ingredients are usual and you save them into the kitchen. The preparation of this dessert is not difficult. You have to mix all products and bake them into the preheated oven. During baking you should do frosting, mixing all ingredients together. When the cake is ready to pour it by frosting and take it to the fridge. Decorate it by lemon zest or something else like coconut or chocolate.
