Sticky Lemon Rolls with Lemon Cream Cheese Glaze

Hi, my friends! I always wanted to have some hobby but I always hadn’t any time for it. I was as many people very lazy to think about new activities and to make my dreams come true. But this week I’ve done it. I took up doing yoga!

My neighbor always did it in her yard in the morning. She very shines person and she can keep calm in different stressful situations. I often watched her meditation from my kitchen window while preparing breakfast. I asked her to teach me some exercises for breathing and for taking control of her body. She was very happy to help me and invited to visit a yoga masterclass with her. I agreed to this proposal and now I feel myself another person. I need fewer efforts to chill out and I feel my body more sports than early. At this moment my mood is perfect, so I decided to prepare something delicious and I am very happy to find this recipe of yummiest lemon rolls and share it with you. This recipe, as usual, includes four parts of preparation. But don’t be afraid – all of them are very easy and you should do them in parallel.

This is the list of ingredients you need:

Active yeast, milk, warmed to about 100°F, unsalted butter, softened at room temperature, bigger eggs, white sugar, vanilla extract, lemon, all-purpose flour, salt, nutmeg,

Sugar, lemon, unsalted butter, very soft, powdered ginger, fresh lemon juice

lemon, cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk

In the large bowl put together active yeast and warmed milk and let it sit for a while. Then add the butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla and lemon zest to the bowl and then add one cup of flour. Add salt and nutmeg to the mixture. In the end, combine all ingredients into the bowl with remaining flour until sticky dough. Use a mixer hook and switch to the dough for 5 minutes. Prepare a large bowl and grease it, put the mixture inside of the bowl, cover with a towel and let it be doubled in size.

While the dough is rising you have some time to prepare the filling. So, take the middle bowl and put inside sugar and lemon zest and stir them for a minute. Add butter and some ginger and beat them together until creamy, at the end add lemon juice to the mixture and put into the refrigerator for ½ hour.

When the dough and filling are prepared take a baking dish and grease it with the baking spray. Spread the dough into the pasteboard and let the dough be thin (but not so much) and then sprinkle the filling to the dough from one side to another. Make the roll, keeping the filling inside. Cut one roll into 12 equal parts and put them into the baking dish.  Heat oven to 350°F. Place rolls in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

It is time for making glaze! Into the small bowl pour a lemon juice, cream cheese, sugar, and milk and blend until smooth and puffy. Sprinkle prepared glaze to the rolls and let it cool for 10 minutes. You can put this dessert on your table. Have a nice meal!
