Toffee Chocolate Bars

As a sweet admirer and a mom who always has a lot of deals at home and no time for myself, I always was excited about the recipes that don’t need a lot of time and some special efforts. How surprised I am when I found them really delicious. Being so happy about that fact I want to tell everyone the recipe about that amazing dessert and share them with you. The Toffee Chocolate Bars are such a great recipe that became one of my favorite.

When I saw this recipe I decided to prepare this dessert immediately. How delicious it looked! Only a person who has a sweet tooth can understand my weakness. It was not Sunday and not a holiday. It was Tuesday, it was a usual day, but I wanted to make a surprise for my lovely daughters and I started to follow all the instructions I read at the recipe.

I was very attentive because I prepare something like that at first. Preparing was very interesting! This process of creating every layer attracted me so much. I wanted to finish this cake very quickly and enjoy the taste. I was right – this cake was amazing. My girls ensure my opinion and they said I was a perfect cook. I hope you will try it and save this recipe for all events and even for a good mood.

So, let’s go to the process of preparation.

First, you need to divide the process into 2 parts. First was connected with the making of the base for our bars and the second one was for stopping. Ingredients you need for this perfect bars are:

To make the base put from your fridge:

  1. 3/4 cup of margarine or butter
  2. 3/4 cup of a pack of sugar, (brown sugar will be better)
  3. 1/2 cup of powdered flour

For making topping:

  1. 2 tablespoon of margarine ( or butter)
  2. 10 oz tin sweetened condensed milk
  3. 3/4 cups of chocolate chips
  4. 1/3 cup of toffee bits (it’s the most important)

When you have the list of ingredients let’s start the preparation. To make base mix margarine with sugar and powdered flour. Pour this mix to the baking pan and bake it in the oven at 350F for 25 min. You should see the light golden top – it indicates that our bars are prepared. After putting them out of the oven let them cool. At that time we can start to prepare the filling.

In a pan on medium fire melt margarine and then add sweetened condensed milk keeping stir the mixture. When our base is cooled spread the filling over and then bake at 350F for approximately 15 min. For decoration please use chocolate chips and spread them to the top of the bars and leave the pan for 5 min inside the oven. Then remove our bars from the oven and then repeat the process of spreading chocolate chips. At the end of the preparation decorate bars with toffee bits and let them cool. Finally cut the cake into the bars and serve with chocolate. Also, you can add some ice cream for serving or use your own idea of decorating.
